The Breedlove Pursuit Nylon is a great sounding acoustic-electric guitar that goes beyond the design of standard classical-style guitars. Utilizing a radiused fretboard and slightly smaller nut width than traditional builds, the Pursuit Nylon allows for a seamless transition from steel-string instruments. Played plugged in or acoustic, this nylon-string guitar will fit into all your musical scenarios. Includes built-in USB port for easy interfacing with GarageBand and other recording software.

 

Body Shape

The Concert is Breedlove's most popular body shape, favored by players because it is well-balanced, compact, comfortable to play, and offers all the qualities of a great sounding guitar. It generates a wonderfully articulate range of tone with an ample low end that is never boomy, but always felt. The Concert works well when played fingerstyle, as vocal accompaniment, or at a full strum.

 

Top Wood

Western red cedar is a wonderful wood for fingerstyle players. It is softer than spruce, so it requires a careful and accurate touch, and it rewards with sweet, extended harmonic content.

 

Back and Side Wood

Sapele is similar both visually and tonally to dense mahogany, but both darker and harder, giving it a strong visual presence and a bit more upper-harmonic content and low-end clarity. It's a good choice for many sizes and shapes, and works well for strumming and fingerstyle.

For centuries, one of the most difficult components of crafting guitars has been relieving the stress on the bridge without overbuilding the top and dampening sound. Originally invented over 20 years ago, the Breedlove Bridge Truss is still one of the most innovative truss systems on the market today. Featuring a micro-USB interface for easy recording, the Fishman ISYS-301 USB Preamp System includes a side-mounted preamp with rotary controls for volume, tone (bass/treble), and phase; a Fishman Sonicore pickup; onboard easy-to-read 7-segment LED tuner; and ISYS+ USB combination battery box with 1/4" output and USB jack.

Breedlove's comprehensive quality control process provides the player with an instrument that will play perfectly right out of the box. Prior to shipment, every Breedlove instrument undergoes a rigorous 25-to-30-point inspection in Bend, Oregon by Breedlove's expert U.S. quality control team. We start with a visual inspection: checking aesthetic and structural elements of the body and components for flaws. Next, each guitar is tuned and undergoes a play test, where Breedlove's craftspeople check nut height, relief, action, and string height. Based on the results of the play test, we then adjust for maximum playability. Finally, each instrument is buffed and polished by hand with painstaking attention to detail. Once the instrument has passed inspection, a signed QC sticker is placed, and the instrument is carefully packed and shipped.
